This agreement describes the conditions and rules under which the operator of dbsoundmeter.com ("we") offers you its services at dbsoundmeter.com.

2. All measurements are performed in your browser. See the Privacy section below.
3. Readings are estimates, not accurate measurements. They depend on your microphone, device, browser and surroundings and may differ from the real sound level. The dbsoundmeter.com service is for general information only. It is not a certified sound level meter (IEC 61672) and must not be used for legal, workplace-compliance, medical or insurance purposes.
4. The dbsoundmeter.com service is provided "as is" and does not provide any guarantees. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any damages, losses or decisions based on its readings.
5. Do not expose yourself or others to loud sounds to test the meter. In loud places, wear hearing protection.
6. You may use the dbsoundmeter.com service and the reports it creates for any purpose, personal or commercial.
7. We reserve the right to change or cease any services at dbsoundmeter.com at any time.
8. We reserve the right to change the terms of this agreement without notice.

Privacy

9. Your microphone audio never leaves your device. Sound levels are measured locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. No server-side processing is involved, and nothing is recorded.
10. We do not collect, store, or have access to any sound you measure. This is technically impossible since the audio stays on your device. Your settings, reports and an offline copy of the site are also kept only in your browser.
11. Google collects data and uses cookies for ad personalization and measurement for this site. Learn how Google collects and uses data. You can turn off ad personalization at any time in your Google account settings. We also use cookies for statistical purposes. By using this site, you consent to our use of cookies.
